A bruised reed He will not break...

"A bruised reed He will not break, and a smouldering wick He will not snuff out" Matthew 12:20. Jesus does not give up on anyone! No matter how too far gone you may feel, you are not beyond the reach of God. I believe there are many people in our society who need to hear this. What do all these people have in common? A man who had done his spouse wrong and is desperately wanting to make right the wrong. A woman who mistreated her child and wants to be forgiven. A father who walked out of his children at a young age and is now begging to reconcile with them.   A homeless woman who doesn't know who her family are. A woman who works on the street because it's the only way she can make a living. What about the friend who once had it all, was a tower of strength to others but was bruised by hurtful words, betrayed by someone very close. Our response to unanswered prayers

Have you ever experienced times when you are praying fervently from your whole heart and yet it seems that God is silent? Do you ever wonder if God has even heard your prayers? If so, you are not alone. We've all felt like that many times. I have many "number one" prayers that remains unanswered. Recently, I caught up with missionary friends I hadn't seen for a long time. Just like old times, we had a great time of sharing and of exchanging stories.  The topic of prayer came up.
