It's a long day!

Welcome to another June blog-post! Sunrise fr home (Manurewa) 6/2012 When our lives are filled with problems, it is difficult to see anything positive happening. Relationships suffer as communication break down. We walk away from loved ones with deep hurts and disappointment. We also walk away from our relationship with God.  And the days in isolation from God and from loved ones become too long. The days drift into months and the months drift into years. Drifting with nothing to cling to, and with nowhere to belong to or a place we can call a home. In the end we become like shipwrecks; battered, tossed about, sunken like in a sea of endless misery. How do we get back up? Are you sowing seeds?

Welcome to my blog. It's been a while since I posted so here is my June blog post.  Please leave a comment. image source: ilovegodsite.com My father was a planter. As a young child, I learned from him that when you plant a seed, you have to expect it to grow. He helped me to plant orange seeds and I remember getting impatient while waiting for something to happen to the seeds. But it was worth the wait! The seeds grew and my orange tree occupied a special spot in our plantation for many years. It provided many more trees, not only for my family but for other people. There is life in a seed! As a Christian, I learned t he meaning of this spiritual lesson  later in life.  Everything starts with a seed. Every blessing God gives are like seeds that have the potential to grow and reproduce more blessings. Our gifts, talents, money, time, testimonies are our seeds. Everything we can give is a seed.
