Welcome to another June blog-post! Sunrise fr home (Manurewa) 6/2012 When our lives are filled with problems, it is difficult to see anything positive happening. Relationships suffer as communication break down. We walk away from loved ones with deep hurts and disappointment. We also walk away from our relationship with God. And the days in isolation from God and from loved ones become too long. The days drift into months and the months drift into years. Drifting with nothing to cling to, and with nowhere to belong to or a place we can call a home. In the end we become like shipwrecks; battered, tossed about, sunken like in a sea of endless misery. How do we get back up? In the Book Of Joshua chapter 10, the Bible tells us that God responded to the prayer of Joshua and the sun stood still to extend the day for the children of Israel to defeat their enemies.
