Earlier this year I asked for prayers for a 'Rapper' friend who wanted to record his song. He has since recorded his song and is now promoting himself through invitations to participate in local events. His confidence and faith is being built up, and I thank God because, 'He is there' for my rapper friend.
Last night my grand-children's mother returned from a brief trip overseas - and I thank God for his protection, his traveling mercies - 'God is with us' answering our prayers.

When one of my leaders stirs my faith up and put courage in me to do something, I thank God because 'He is there.' When I turn on the TV and the preacher is shouting in my ears, "There's more in you than what's on the outside..." I look up and say, "Thank you God that you are there." When I open the Word of God and the scriptures says, ", "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?..." (Isaiah 43:19). And I say,"Thank you God, You are with me."
How many times have you said : "I can do it..." "I will get through it..." In Psalm 28:7, David says:"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song."David's gift of worship became his strength. And strength is what we need to cry out, "God are you there?" David knew his God was always with him because he created God-moments of worship where God would come and meet with him. When we say the Lord is our strength and shield we are calling him into our life experiences.
God has placed good people in our lives to remind us that He is with us. Think of your pastors, your spiritual leaders, your friends. Those who counsel and encourage you, pray with you to bring God's will to pass into your life. The challenge therefore is : "What are you trusting in?" Sometimes the shields we hope would protect us can fail but that's a reminder of how limited our strength and shields are.
A word of prayer:
"Lord please stir in us a genuine desire for you,
open our eyes as we pray and seek after you, In Jesus Name, Amen!
God bless you!
