I will rise

Welcome to my new blogpost - I will rise

When things are going well we think life is good. But when things don't turn out the way we want them to, we become discouraged and dis-disillusioned with life. Sometimes we seek help in the wrong places. Someone said the worst place to be at is "rock-bottom". Some of us may have been there and are glad to be out of it, and some are maybe there right now. If that is you, I pray this post will remind you that there is hope for you. 

It is not a sign of weakness to ask for help. Fear that your personal world (whatever it may be) will be exposed can be devastating. But the longer you're there, the worse things can get. It's a dark place and David refers to it as "the valley of the shadow of death" (Psalm 23:4). When you hit rock bottom you're at the lowest you can ever go. And God's love can reach you there!

There's a beautiful scripture and promise in the book of Micah 7:8: "Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light." When I first saw this scripture, I took a glance back at my own journey and praised God for sending someone to help me out of that miserable place. Lord Jesus, I'm so grateful to you!

Lord you know who is in need of you right now. 
Please show them your will for their life, lead and guide them to you.

The power of inspiration

The power of inspiration Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”  ~John 4:10 There is no subject like Jesus. He is a river that never runs dry! It brings me joy to share with others what I feel God has shared with me. Personally, I find it beneficial to seek Jesus in the everyday moments of life, which is primarily what I write about. In my devotional reading yesterday, I reflected on the story of the Samaritan woman talking with Jesus at the well (John 4:1-26). It’s a beautiful narrative where Jesus arrives at a well in Samaria, thirsty from His journey. A Samaritan woman was present, and Jesus asked her for a drink. Three key themes stood out to me from this story: physical thirst, spiritual thirst, and the power of inspiration. Jesus is amazing—He is bold and brilliant! It’s A New Season!

It’s A New Season - and  Moving Right Along... ”I worship you I worship You The reason I live is to worship You!” I thank God for my journey and for bringing me to a new milestone, a new era of my life, WOW!    Glory be to God!   I celebrated my 70th birthday a week ago with my family and it was a lovely beautiful time.     I thank God that I got to celebrate this milestone with the people I love the most; that Corvus 19 lock down happened while we’re all together as a family.    I’m ever so grateful to you Lord! And now, moving on to face this age thing “head on”.     The world talks a lot about 70 being the new 60, 50 being the new 40 and so on.    Whatever that mean, I think for me it is time to call a “spade a spade”.
